Here are some pictures for those of you who like pictures.
Shot at targets hanging from 4" diam. tree.

Corbon 90gr hp rounds on top row.
    Fed. Hydra-Shok on bottom row.
Blazer 90gr rn rounds went thru the tree.

Almost all of the rounds passed thru the tree.
These few were sticking out the back and were pulled out.
Shot a total of 50 rounds of Blazers and 7 rounds of the feds. and corbons.
Only 5 bullets recovered out of 64 rounds shot.

Thought this shows good penetration with all three rounds going thru the tree.

Ya...the trees not gona make it.
    I figure if i can hit a 4" tree....bad dude doesn't stand a chance. :'(

I also figured i have several thousand aspen (popal for us yoopers) to shoot up.
Kill one of them and 10 more grow.

One round of CorBon 90gr hp packed with C4....massive destruction of large tree.
No not really...didn't take any pics of the tree. :(

Here is a set of Cor-Bon DPX and Cor-Bon Pow'R ball fired into a shoebox packed with Alabama Clay. That's dirt to the rest of you.

I try to dig my bullets out of targets every once in a while to see how the perform through different mediums. Ya get some funky stuff every now and then :)

Far as I'm concerned, as a new guy to the KT forum, YooperP3at is not a tree killer! He's a fuel conservationist! He COULD burn up gas & oil in a chainsaw to cut down the tree, but he chose supply us with valuable ballistic information by shooting it down! ;)

I like to do that with a thick phone book, you can use page numbers to test penetration compared to other rounds.

thats actually a fairly interesting test. in our engineering labs we used wood as an analog for bone (similar properties) sometime while doing materials testing. of course there are no 4" diameter bones in people though.
