A little more information on your part would be helpful for potential advice givers. Do you plan to wear it inside the waist band, outside the waistband or ankle holster? Are you right handed or left handed. Do you think you want to look at pocket holsters or cross draw holsters or appendix holsters. Are you tall, short, thin, fat? Will you be wearing a suit or blue jeans or shorts?

I can tell you that I am 5'5" and "pudgy". I typically wear jeans and t shirts or button up straight tail shirts untucked. When I'm carrying my PF9 I now use the KT belt clip and put the gun on my right hip at about 3:30. I wear a 1.5 inch belt which lets the clip pivot a little on the belt and keeps the gun angled forward just below my jelly roll which keeps the gun in place quite nicely. And its actually quite comfortable too.

I find the PF9 too big to pocket carry in jeans, so when I need to tuck in my shirt I carry my P3AT instead in the right front pants pocket. I'll admit here that sometimes I have both with me and just leave the PF9 behind when things get more formal.

My wife has shoes for different occasions, I have different guns for different needs. Same - same.

Give some input to your particular situation and I'm sure someone here will have some good advice for you. Hope you find what you need.

I am currently carrying the DeSantis "Sof-Tuck" for my PF9 (part # 106NAD6Z0). I have only had it for about a week, but I have carried it 8-10 hrs at a time 5 days this week. It has been very comfortable. I wont say that you forget you are carrying it, but it is comfortable enough that it's not a problem to wear that long.

I am considering a holster by Aliengear. It is a Crossbreed look alike, but is much cheaper and seems to be of equal quality.

This is an important point. I can tell you what is good for me (for example, I most often use the DeSantis Apache ankle holster, but also have a Crossbreed MiniTuck IWB and a Fobus Kydex paddle for OWB use), but those may not work well for you. I wear a suit to work, but usually take off my jacket at the office, so the ankle rig is most useful for me (since I do not publicize the fact that I am carrying).

One word......Remora (made in the USA)

I have a couple and I use them almost exclusively for my CCW. IWB holster with the re-enforced opening (makes it easier to re-holster). I'd also get a sweat guard if re-ordering but it's not necessary.

Great holster that gives you options for adjustments.

I recently purchased and returned a barsony 6 position ambidextrous pancake holster. I didn't like it because I couldn't reholster. Im a lefty and looking for an owb holster that will allow for easy reholstering and good retention and reasonably priced. I like the fobus sg239 but it doesn't come in lefty. Any suggestions?

I made the kydex holster I carry my PF9 in. Rather simple actually.
You can buy small sheets of kydex on knifekits.com or even on amazon.com. There's plenty of videos on YouTube showing how to make a kydex holster with only a few tools. I use an oven, a simple press made from scrap 2x4s and plywood, some thick soundproofing foam, snips, a bench grinder and riveter.

Thanks but I am looking for an OWB holster to use qualify my PF9 as an off duty weapon. I can't do the test with an IWB holster, ankle or shoulder rig.

I just ordered the barsony leather pancake holster. Maybe this will do.

Barsony OWB (Left or Right)

I daily use and can recommend the OWB Barsony Pancake Holster for $29.99 at Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D62XDW6/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00). Follow the drop down box for the PF9 size (fits Kel-Tec PF11, PF9, and PF40). This holster also comes in both Left and Right configurations. I purchased it in brown, but it also comes in black (at: http://www.amazon.com/Barsony-Black-Leather-Pancake-Holster/dp/B00D62Y6B8/ref=sr_1_1).

From my review on the Amazon site:

"I found this to be the perfect outside waistband concealment holster for my PF9. It takes a 1 1/2 inch belt.

The holster is light and fits snug and high against the body when belted on. But it's also comfortable, especially getting in and out of a car. I wear it under a loose shirt and no one has detected any printing at all. The button clasp is perfectly positioned for easy release.

The leather is durable, tightly stitched, and yet supple. Usually when I get a leather product, the first thing I do is rub in Lexol Leather Conditioner, but this is so well-conditioned that I didn't find it necessary.

It is not a multi-positioning pancake, but instead ensures a comfortable, tactical, forward cant (I would say FBI cant). A straight drop probably provides a faster possible draw, but it's also less comfortable when sitting (as in sitting in a car), and harder to conceal: this holster provides comfort, greater concealability, and very easy access."

Thanks Quaker. I received my holster last Saturday. It seems like it is good quality. I just need to break it in. I'm not thrilled about re-holstering but I'm hoping it gets better as it breaks in.

How is the draw from this holster. I haven't use mine yet, it's still kinda tight. Does it loosen over time? Right now, it is difficult to draw.
