    This is in my local news area. My sympathies to the man's family and friends.

    A suspect has been arrested. The Officer had phoned in the license number before approaching. Last Wildlife officer killed on duty in this state - 1915. The suspect was wounded in the shootout, according to reports.

    The officer was investigating poaching in the area.

    Apparently the guy was a felon and not supposed to own a gun. My condolences go out to the officers family and friends.

    I call shenanigans. We know he could not be a felon if he owned a gun. you know how felons obey the law, and how gun control really works.

    queen pelosi and king schumer would be so disappointed if they knew you were spreading lies. ::)

    pesonally, I have been hassled by "the man" here in NY when hunting, esp when b0b was younger....

    but they have a job to do.

    but the guys in PA are nothing but very cool, every time I have had to interact with them.....

    they are not looking to ticket, just make sure everyone is being safe, and never had any bad experience.

    maybe I am just not a bad guy at heart (BUT DON'T TELL ANY ONE)

    News flash- Hassling people and doing your job CAN and SHOULD be mutually exclusive events.

    Very sad and enraging details in the local news link. Looks like the DA is moving toward the death penalty for the punk, POS.

    My condolences to the officer's friends and family.

    I've heard of the Fish and Game Dept. using robo deer to catch poachers here in Ky but that's not a job I would want to do alone.  It's sad this happened to the guy and I hope they catch the guy that did it and string him up by his @#$%^*.

    Ouch.  I know the guy deserves it, but that's a heck of a visual.  And I haven't even had my morning coffee yet.  LOL
