i did something dumb but now i need your help i had the slide off and i pulled the trigger the hammer fell forward and now its locked in the forward position and it wont budge what do i do to get it back up thank much

Wont move at all? I just took mine apart and tried it several times. Hammer came back every time with some effort.

thank you you are right i wasnt giving it enough force its a new gun i was scared to force to hard thanks alot

hey guys. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "dry fire" or not, but is sure seems close to me. In that situation I keep a diget in the way to buffer the hammer. Hurts me a bit, but not the gun.

I think the issue with the dry fire is the abuse the firing pin gets. SInce the slide is off, I don't see a real problem. Of course...I've been wrong before
