I may be picking up a car in California soon and driving it back to WA. I'll be flying in. I have concealed permits for WA and OR, but not CA. Is it legal for me to bring my P3AT into CA at all? It will be unloaded, cased, and locked while in CA. I remember hearing something about guns without safties not being permitted in CA. I also know there's a federal regulation about transporting guns making it explicity legal to transport them from point A to point B (locked in the trunk) even if it's not legal to possess them in-between.

    Hey, Darth_Muffin,

As far as I know, it's perfectly legal to own a KelTec in CA, as long as it was purchased legally where ever you bought it. You can bring them in, too, as long as you are legally able to own firearms. So, transporting it, properly locked and unloaded, should be fine in CA. For what it's worth.... Take care, and God Bless!
