I was stripping my P3AT to clean; I have done it a number of times before. But this time, after removing the assembly pin, the slide will not move at all. I did exactly as the manual instructs, and I have done before, so I don't know what happened.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks, Matt

some times the head of the recoil rod digs a groove in the frame.
thus possibly pull the slide back and push down on end of rod, plus let the slide slam foward.
If that don't do it, you'll need a soft hammer ;)

I can't move the slide by hand at all (other than a fractional back & forth)- which way should I use the rubber hammer; hit the barrel end, or the hammer end?

    Hammer, to remove the slide/barrel/springs.
try wiggling the barrel to get the block in the center and start out with holding the frame in your hand as you hit (and to complie with indocturnation from work, wear gloves and eye protection ;) )
