Just pulled my P32 out of the safe and the hammer spring had broken. Emailed Kel tec they said that I had to BUY a new spring if I want one. I thought this part was under warranty. the shipping is more than twice the $4.00 spring. Finally after 4 emails back and forth Ericka said I will mail you one this time. Is this how the customer service is now?

Never had a hammer spring break on me before. It seems like it would be a rare occurrence. I have heard from other folks that you get far better results by skipping the email and calling them directly. I heard that they made some changes to their warranty policy for first and second owners. You may want to have a look at it.

That's where I mess up. I fail to keep those things.
I'd say that puts K-T customer service in a more favorable light, than you initial post suggests.

I was able to get a copy of the 4473 from the gunshop--about ten years after the purchase.

OOOPS: Assumed jpshaw was OP. :drool:

If Krishna wrangled a free part replacement without original purchaser status, he should recognize K-T went *beyond* the conditions of their stated warranty and actually upheld their rep for exceptional customer service.
