A NIB P-40 went for $385 on gunbroker back in Apr. '08

In Mar. '08 a P40 in excellent shape with the plastic case and all the paperwork went for $230 on gunbroker.

I stopped bidding on one around $250 a while back, probably the same one JG won.

I think I remember seeing one that kept showing up with an asking price in the high $300s but it never got a bid.

In light of recent events, I would not buy another.

It certainly puts the long term value under scrutiny.

It would probably represent an increase in value for the collector mentality looking for another safe queen and a decrease in value for someone looking for a regular shooter.
