There is a lot of Buzz about new +P loadings in the works by ammo manufacturers; was/is the 3AT designed to handle these anticipated +P type loadings?

The following is copied directly form the P3AT manual on the KT web site

"AMMUNITION: The P-3AT Pistol is designed and chambered for the .380 Auto
cartridge. Do not use any other ammunition. The P-3AT will accept +P
ammunition, however not with continuous use."

There is the answer from the manufacture.

Unless SAAMI comes up with a +P spec for the .380 ACP, which it has not so far done, there is no such thing as +P .380 ACP.

And it would surprise me greatly if SAAMI ever does do that.
The world is already full of 50 - 100 year old blow-back operated .380 pistols, some of very questionable pedigree.
And any of which would could result in a lawsuit the ammo manufactures would not care to be named as the defendant in.

Everything on the U.S. market now or in the future, is loaded within SAAMI specs, and is safe to use in the P3AT. (With the exception of the Mag-Safe splatter-shot loads.)
