I removed the barrel on my p3at and drop a cartridge in the chamber. It felt loose, I could rock it back and forth easily.

Is this normal?

A 380 case should be 0.374" at the rime and a "standard" chamber 0.381" at the mouth. KelTecs seem to be slightly more open with mine being about 0.386"

So It is a fairly loose fell.

It's normal. A slightly oversized chamber helps delay opening of the action.

An oversize chamber does a lot of things, some good, some bad, but I've never heard of that one before.
