Outer and Inner Recoil Springs

    By all means go to www.rugerforum.com and read the thread about "outer and inner springs" Two of the contributors are Design Engineers, COFFEE POT being a retired Ruger spring design engineer. When I asked if using Wolff 13# springs that were designed for the P32  could have been the cause of Jocko's slide cracks, he answered ABSOLUTELY and went on to explain it.  Anyone with a semi-auto pistol would be well served to read this thread

    Here is a LINK for the lazy.

    I don't think he understands the stock spring being weaker than the Wolff P-32 spring. In fact, there is nothing there that I hadn't read elsewhere before, especially the stuff JFB put together about a month ago.

    Wolff spring is 13# for P32
    If you say this spring is stronger than the .380 OE spring, what is it, and why is there a thread about the status of the design of a Wolff spring for the P3AT?

    Here are my measurements of recoil springs. I gather these values in excell, then calculated the lower values
