I'm ashamed to say that I've been away from KTOG for too long, and that my Sub 2000 has been sitting in it's case for far too long without being fired.

So to reacquaint myself with this group and my 2000, I have a few questions.

1. I've had this gun a long time and I'm not even sure what generation it is.
The serial number is E5Mxx - Can anyone tell me what Gen this is based on the serial number?

2. The gun is marked S&W, but it came with 2 Glock 10 round .40 cal magazines. I'm thinking of going over to the dark side and picking up a Glock, but I would like one that I can swap out mags with the 2000.
For some reason, Glock 22 comes to mind,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

all glock models share the same mags IIRC.
Maybe you have a buddy who can check your mags against a glock to be sure they work?

What were they thinking with the pocket pistol mags though? Grab some 30 rounders for that thing!

I think you may be confused by the fact it is a 40 S&W caliber model. The S&W probably alludes to that. If the magazines have plastic bodies and they fit in the gun then it is a Glock model. The other 3 manufacturers used steel bodies for their magazines. Glock magazines have steel liners but plastic bodies. If yours is a Glock then a Glock 22 will be a good companion, since that is the longest full size magazine version.

3wbdriver, the Glock 22 isn't the longest full size magazine version. That would be the Glock 35.
Funny? Every Glock 35 I've handled had Glock 22 magazines, which is what I was referencing. Same grip size, but the 35 has a longer slide and barrel. I know Glock makes a 22 rounder for the 40 S&W now, but it's not included with any factory guns I am aware of. And I stand by what I said earlier. :)

"If yours is a Glock then a Glock 22 will be a good companion, since that is the longest full size magazine version." (I don't know what you edited after that post).

You're correct that the magazine length of the 22 matches the 35, but the 35 is a longer gun than the 22.

AFAIK there are 2 .40 Glocks intended to be used with full size magazines: the 22 and the 35.

Correct now on all points. Again I was only referencing the full size magazine compatibility. And all I edited was a spelling correction. I was neither correcting you nor arguing your point. I was reinforcing that MY reference was to a full size magazine well. :)
