Been meaning ask this question for a little while now. My 2nd gen P3AT has an odd little problem that I noticed while practicing trigger pull on snap caps. Sometimes there is a "ridge" of high resistance to trigger pull about 1/8 to 1/4 from beginning of pull. I also noticed that when this happens, the slide moves backwards a tiny bit.

If I keep pulling past this resistance, but then relax the trigger without going so far as to release the hammer, and start to pull again, the resistance is gone. Also to note is when there's none of this resistance, the slide does -not- move that little bit as noted above.

It does not do this every time, and has never actually malfunctioned (ftf, fte, etc.)

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

Hammer or trigger-bar rubbing the slide?
