Might be a stupid question but.... I have a p3at 'on order', but that could take forever. I could pick up a NIB p3at on gunbroker.com or auctionarms.com. I understand that the warranty goes to the original purchaser, so if I purchase a NIB p3at on gunbroker.com or auctionarms.com (and have it shipped to my local FFL), does that mean I'm the orig. purchaser, or.... what??

From what I've HEARD on here (no personal experience), they dont really ask for proof of purchase or anything. They dont seem to really enforce the first owner thing. Other people may have something else to say on the matter, but from what i've read thats the impression I've got.

I've heard that too, but I want to make sure I'm considered the original owner. If they decide to enforce the policy, I don't want to get hosed.

I like to chainsaw. See my little signature note? ( Preferred hardware: Stihl MS 270 C ) A sharp chain and lots of trees make for a fun day!

On the few occasions where I have had to return a gun to Kel-Tec, they have asked me to include a copy of the sales receipt. Outside of that, no, the question of whether I was the original owner or not never came up.

I keep all my receipts, so I can't speak to how they would handle it if you didn't have one, but my guess is that they would accomodate you. From my experience and that of others I know who have dealt with them, they tend to do business as the type of company that realizes the value in a satisfied end user.
