Just saying hello. Got to say p3at is an awesome pocket pistol. Usually I carry a m&p shield 9mm during spring and fall and winter a Glock 19.

Found the perfect (after some adjustments) pistol for summer shorts, hiking and my biking.

Got a gently used (30) rounds through barrel p3at with 1 6rd mag w pinky extension, 2 7rd mag and 1 9rd mag, pocket holster and focus paddle holster and 50 rounds of target Rds for $150. Seller wanted $200.

Made some adjustments:

1 complete fluff n buff, barrel, feed ramp, trigger bar, guide rod etc
2. Changed out the mag release / mag catch
3 duracote the slide to coyote brown
4 talon stripa on frame and grip
5 fixed a Hogue Ruger lcp hogue grip onto the p3at (no more accidental mag dump)
6 black diamond grip tape on slide serrations
7 talon stripa on all extended mags
8 hogue jr grip on 9rd mag
9 painted sights w automotive touch up paint. White for rear and neon green for front

Anyway, it shoots much better, more purchase on grip a little less muzzle flip

Nice job! Looks like you did your home work on the P3AT. Welcome to KTOG!

Winter here in Louisiana was January 3rd. Only thing I did to my P3AT was sand the grips when it was new. It must feel neglected but I do take it down and clean pocket lint out of it 3 or 4 times a year. Usually out of the magazine and the firing pin channel.

Stealarooni!! :rayof:

Shave the mag release button down, if undesired release is a problem. Easy fix.

How do you carry it when biking?

Yeah. Good buy definitely.

Thx for the info. No mag drop issue now.

And yes, I carry when I'm mtn biking. Used to carry a kahr cm9 but p3at is much better for pocket carry. I don't chamber however when riding.

Yes, quite a deal for $150.

I don't have an issue with the mag drop now, since I put the hogue LCP grip on it. But if I do, will take your advise. Thanks for the feedback.

I used to pocket carry a kahr cm9 while mtn biking and hiking. But it was too heavy. Sold the kahr after I got the p3at. P3at is a perfect size and weight. I pocket carry it... unchambered though and pack a 22lr snubby revolver in my backpack when hiking and mtn biking.

The p3at may not be pretty but its functional and serves a purpose for certain carry systems. I love it. Should have gotten one sooner.

When biking, how do you carry? I got one of the fanny pack holsters.
It works but it's not great.
My bike shorts have pockets. They are the kind with nylon conventional shorts over the spandex part. The pockets are pretty normal sized. I could easily carry a P3AT in a pocket holster but usually opt for the smaller NAA 22 mag.

It won't fall out when you're riding a simple cruiser style bike. You're sitting almost straight up. On a Mountain bike you're at about 45% forward and on a road bike your body is almost parallel with the road.

I ride a mountain bike. My cargo shorts (Columbia) have Velcro even in the side pockets and of course in my thigh pockets. I put it inside the dominant side pocket Velcro shut. Never falls out. I used to put my cm9 that weighs a lot more...never falls out. I ride moderate to heavy downhill so I don't chamber for peace of mind.

If I cycled a road bike w skin tight shorts....I may have an issue. But don't need to be wearing tight shorts since I don't cycle a road bike.
