Bought a NIB Gen 2 Sub 2000 in FDE on 07 OCT on Gunbroker. Just picked it up at local gun store yesterday. The gun came with a new owners manual that illustrates the redesigned front sight post with the jam nut, but the gun has the old style sight with the set screw and no jam nut. Not sure how the gun got out of the factory without the newer sight since they were obviously making the newer sight when this one was packaged up, hence the updated owners manual.

At any rate, I just got off the phone with Keltec and they are sending me the new sight and nut. Happy I don't have to send a brand new gun away for several weeks. I can shoot it while I wait.

Anyone else bought a new S2K recently that came with the old sight? Just curious.

Kel-Tec didn't update the manual yet on the front sight. Not a big deal really, as the rest of the manual is pretty good, IMO.
How are you likin' your Gen 2?

My case is just the opposite. My S2K did come with the updated manual that shows the new sight, but my rifle has the old sight with set screw. Pretty aggravating that Kel Tec is still putting out rifles from the factory with the old sight instead of equipping them with the new sight.

Yep, I'd be bothered by that one, too. There was one member who contacted Erika in a service ticket e-mail exchange who was able to get a sight swap. Another possible consideration is the aftermarket Red Lion Precision replacement front sight. I bought one for my Gen 2 & like it alot. :D
