Hi, folks.
Libercontrarian here, posting from under the cloudy skies of Northern Colorado.
I will be receiving a new PMR-30 on Friday, and I wanted to join this group for some tips and good lulz.
I went to Scheels and picked up 6 varied boxes of .22 WMR to run through the gun on break-in, kinda to see what works and what doesn’t.
I have bought mostly 40-grain stuff due to the reports of 40-grain fodder actuating the gun effectively. I did elect to try one box of 30-grain Hornady stuff that I think I’ll shoot once the gun is “broken in,” assuming that proves to be a challenge, and I’ll start with the Gamepoint to see if I can keep the variables down for the first 100 rounds or so.
I really need what amounts to a week of 60 degree temps in order to melt Colorado’s seemingly permanent snowfall, from the hardest winter here in the last 26 years since I moved here.
Mostly because I want time to shoot and debug, get the gun dirty, etc. - this isn’t something that lends itself well to a micromanaged indoor range.
I’ll drop in Friday with some new pics… maybe I’ll do the first 100 rounds indoors and try to digest my results this weekend.
