Hello all, new member here and new KT owner. I just picked up a new P3AT Monday. Hopefully I can take it apart, clean it, and oil it this weekend and put a few through it. I hear these things like oil?

I'm looking forward to learning/sharing with this group.

  2. Welcome mhiggi... Glad to have you here. ;D

Can you post a pic for us?

Here are a few links to check for a new gun and the lube info: And yes.. they do like LUBE!

Most of us (SWAG 63.2%) perform at least 50% of the fluff and buff.

Thanks Nu-Agin. I did the F&B per the instructions you shared. I finally took the new P3AT to the range this morning. I put 100 rounds of WWB through her without a single failure [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif].

I did notice some wearing on the top of the slide immediately behind the ejection port. I've got the parkerized model. Any suggestions for treating this area?

Yea, just wipe it off. It brass tracks from the ejecting empty cartridge...
  5. WOOO HOOOOO! I like these reports. Seems lately we are getting a lot like that!

As Hutch noted, it is normal. It is where the spent brass is hitting the slide.

You may also notice some wear on the barrel hood and a few other spots on the barrel.

Some times the aluminum frame will get dinged up a bit above and just behind the ejection port side.
