Over the next three years, I plan to transition to a new name, .
I paid up the name for the next three years so it'll continue
to work for that long, but it's technically owned by someone no one
has seen for a few years, so it's possible that three years from now
we couldn't use For that reason, I bought the new name, . Next week, when you go to you'll notice you
get redirected to Now would be a good time to update
your bookmarks, also known as "favorites", and any links to
which you may have posted on other web sites.

Many of us have our passwords saved in our browser and don't remember
them in our heads. If that applies to you, you have a little work to do.
The browser remembers the password for, but when we switch
to the browser won't know that it's the same password, so
you'll have to type your password the first time. That's tough if you don't
know what it is. So if you don't know what your password is, you need
to set it to something you'll remember. To do that, click "Profile" about
3 1/2 inches from the top of the page. Then click "Modify". There, enter a
password which you'll remember. You have to type the same password twice
so it knows you didn't typo.

I'm sure we'll get ten emails or more from people saying "I saw your post
and I don't know my password - please change it for me." You do not have
to email TxCajun or myself. You can change your own password by following
the instructions in the preceding paragraph.

If you're using a recent version of Firefox as your browser (other Mozilla-based browsers too), you can display your saved passwords like this:

It's left as a mental exercise for the reader to figure out which of the above things in the chain of commands represent "menu choices", "tabs", "sections", or "buttons".  The chain of commands might be slightly different if you have saved all your passwords encrypted with a master password.

I have had a long time problem with access to the boards. I seem to still be in good standing, and I do not know why I shouldn't, but quite often I get a message saying I am banned from using this forum, and I am unable to access my profile, check messages, etc. Please help. If I really am banned, :-?, could someone explain to me my error?

I'll just bet you're using AOL as your browser?

    Do I win?

lol...many can't use AOL to access KTOG...including me. We get these very same error messages that you have seen. Try using another browser like Internet Explorer or FireFox.

Well, atleast it's keeping me logged in now.

Why does that happen with AOL, Hogrider?

I wish I knew, been happening to me for maybe a year. Others have reported the same. For me, sometimes it works...other times it doesn't.

I use Internet Explorer now when on KTOG.

Make sure you set up your 301 redirects properly so that forum threads at get redirected to the new location of the thread. If you don't do that, you'll be greatly diminishing your search engine standing.

My IE 7 used to sign me in automatically. Now with the new site I have to sign on each time.

I just upgraded to IE 8 and cannot even get any ktog to open.
    > or<

I am going to down grade back to IE 7. At least I could log using Internet Explorer.

By the way I had down loaded Apples Safari early this year, so I tried it and it worked.

Safari might be my new web browser.

I love the new google chrome. If I had a wish it would be to go to the google office and hug and kiss everyone there. And just keep calling them all Genius all day, and eat lunch with them and all. Google really did change my life around more than any university could ever have for a billion dollars. I don't know who they are but I truly love google.

Just a possibly silly question, but should we be able to use the new domain name to log into the forums now? If I go to the forums via as soon as i click on the login button, it changes me back to just
I just tried going to and it let me login, but the page that I got after logging in was rather than
*shrug* Just wondering if it's just me, or what? :)

Because AOL is an abomination unto this earth and should be deleted from every system in creation. NOTHING works right in AOL all the time.

even plain old html will get all buggered if left to play in AOL land.

My advise, get a big boy toy and upgrade!
