Hey everyone. Picked up my new KSG yesterday and was able to go shoot it today. The action is pretty smooth even new. After shooting 30 rounds of buck and 6 1oz slugs the only minor hiccup was a failure to feed when I didn't push it forward hard enough. That was totally my fault because the action was so smooth. My shoulder is a happy black and blue!!! Also, my serial number is XX3256. Does anyone know when this was made?

Congo-rats! Yep, she can be a bruiser. I use a small limbsaver butt pad, but the factory offers an extended pad. The limbsaver does work. And I believe members here say the factory one does too. Calling the factory (next year) is the only way to know when it was manufactured.

Me thinks you might be holding it a bit loose. I've run many rounds of OO and slugs through mine and never got beat up like that....three inch mag is another story.
You look at it and think "man that little gun is gonna kick like a mule". There is no doubt it's a 12 gauge when it lights off but it's pretty mild mannered compared to some guns.
