Mr_Fixit said:Well, I'm back. Back to owning a Kel Tec, this time a P3AT.
I started with a Kel-Tec P40, bought new back in 98-99ish. Did the F&B, cleaned it up and carried it for a few years. I sold it and have carried a Glock since then.
I have wanted a true pocket pistol for a while now. Something for those times when I just cant wear a shirt untucked, or a coat. I went to the Gun Show this weekend at Market Hall in Dallas and came home with a new P3AT. I fondled some Makarovs, and other Pocket guns like the NAA, and even Rugers clone of Kel Tec. But, obviously I chose the original.
I'll be doing the F&B this week, and maybe even the detailed version. I am seriously thinking about taking the blued slide(after the F&B) and coating it with some of Norells Moly Resin. I have the stuff and an airbrush.
As far as breaking it in after the F&B, I have a 100rd box of Winchester white box 95gr FMJ, and a 100 round box of Remington 105gr HP. We'll see how it likes that and go from there.
My one question is this. Does everyone carry them in a holster in the pocket. Does anyone carry it by just slipping it into the front pocket of your pants? Would that be 'safe'? Any other issues to see to about pocket carry?
Thanks, I look forward to being back.

When I pointed that out to him, he just blew it out and said, "That's OK, young fellow." Not sure what would have happened if he had touched it off but I do keep mine a tad bit more clean.
