NiB S2K ~ Factory updates

My Nickel Boron SUB-2000 returned from K-T yesterday.

Among other things, they installed the new suppressor friendly front sight base.

The new plastic trigger isn't bad, it's longer & smoother than the
original craptastic trigger... I doubt that I will be changing it out.

The new trigger guard is beefier

A couple of questions: why did you send it back? did they do the updates for free? if not what did all the updates cost? is the nickel boron a factory item?

Why? I have suppressor on the way for it, so the upgrades were necessary.
Cost? I paid shipping to them, everything else was warrantied.
NiB? The nickel boron is/was a factory item.

There's nothing to get over, I recognized & addressed a problem.
Kel-Tec listened to complaints, and addressed the same problem.

I call that a win-win.

When did you get your gen2? I bought mine in August and it has the newer craptastic.

I purchased it early this year, before K-T started phasing in these product improvements.

I think I've got her set up the way I want, even if I can no longer fold it 100%. The 5/8" LaRue Tactical riser under the EOTech feels natural to me... I no longer need to crush my face down on the tube, it is very comfortable for my neck. Also, it's hard to see in this picture, but there is a heavy brass bolt inside the tube.

Just curious why you needed the front sight upgrade for a suppressor? I have the original and it works just fine so was wondering what you were getting at. I may do the upgrade if Keltec will send me the parts. Nice setup by the way.

Now if they'd just add 100grams to the factory bolt assembly on .40 cal rifles.

We gain something like 34g by installing the brass bolt, is 100g realistic for the .40? How heavy is it now? - just curious.
