Hello all,

I went out today with the intention of picking up a PF-9. I wanted a small 9mm with a double action trigger for range practice. The gun shop I went to didn't have any PF-9s but they did have a used P-11 for $175 with 2 mags, so I picked it up. It seems to be an older one with serial # 109xx.

I'm not sure if it was blued or hard chrome but the slide is "sort of" polished now. Here are some pics...

I took it dirty straight to the range, I put about 50 rounds through it with 1 stovepipe. I came home cleaned & lubed it & I'll give it another workout this week. I hope to have fun with it for years to come.

...follow up

After doing some more reading I believe it to be a Stainless model, the sides are polished the top looks like a fence post.
My 2 mags each hold 11 rounds, I assume the previous owner modified them(?)
I took it back to the range yesterday clean & lubed...100 rounds...perfect
To me this a perfect pistol for trigger control practice, like a 9mm DA revolver.

I bought a used SS model and it came with a chromed mag. I dont know but yours looks pretty shiny for a SS model. Here are mine.

Stainless in the front, chrome left.

I think the previous owner polished the sides, the top of the slide is not shiny & looks just like your stainless model. I think it looks just like a galvanized fence post. Both of the mags that came with it are blued.No chromed mag for me.

BTW your Nickel model is sweet. I'm a sucker for shiny.

It is chrome. i had it went away to this guy http://www.apwcogan.com/. He does nice work. he does Keltecs chroming. Funny, I live in Warminster, Pa.

Sorry, your post clearly says CHROME, I see Shiny I think Nickel. I picked this up at Tanner's, a bit of a drive for me but ALWAYS worth the trip!

To everyone else thanks for the kudos! It ate another 50 flawless rounds last night. I'm starting to get a feel for the trigger.

Ready for Prime Time?

I have had this gun for a few months & I have considered carrying this in some situations in place of my LCP. I have puts a few hundred rounds down-range with no malfunctions at all.

My question to you guys is, since I bought this used & it's an old model & I have no idea of it's history, would you change any parts before you felt it was ready for carry? or if it aint broke don't fix it?

ain't broke, don't fix!

But I bought mine used too, and just ordered a new ejector because mine broke (which is apparently very common). I also bought some new recoil springs and guide rod as the old ones are, well, old.
