When I first got my concealed carry permit I went on the long journey to find the best concealed carry gun.
Tried numerous guns, mistakenly giving comfort shooting way to much thought as well as size.
I had a rossi 352 that was comfortable to shoot but the weight and the grip which I couldn't replace due to the lack of options made it a gun that stayed home more than I liked.
I have tried others before that and with them it was basically the same, weighty and hard to conceal.
It has taken me some time but I have come to the realization that small is better.
No one needs to know if I am carrying or not, comfort shooting is important but if I ever do need to someday I am sure I wouldn't even notice any recoil.
I like mouse guns. Easy to conceal and comfortable to carry. I like most of us hopefully will never need it to stop a threat but it's one I will have with me if ever needed.
The kel-tec p3at fits nicely in the pocket, while the .380 may not be a caliber that some think is potent enough, I for one would not be willing to take one just to find out. I don't think anyone else would be willing to either.
So the p3at will either be a primary carry or a backup to anther mouse gun. Either way I think it will be enough. :)

380 isn't going to bounce off somebody.

Since 1980's I have drawn 3 times 1st time in parking garage Beretta 25 BG was a rabbit 2nd time couple years later 3 BG 's 1 5 shot 38 spl They decided I was welcome in area no more trouble.

Last time 1996 a real BG on bail. I already had several charges on him . He was armed . I was forced to shoot. He lived and went to prison for a long time . Pistol 1911 Commander Oh my shot hit next to his head He and collapsed and did a 1 and 2 in pants . . Yep real bad dude :D

I've only pulled a gun once. Was with the 140th Military Police in Fort Gordon Georgia a loooong time ago. Was checking a warehouse that was reported to be broken into. Weapon was an issue Remington Rand 1911 with 5 rounds in it's 7 round magazine. BG was a 5 gallon water cooler . . yeah they're real loud when that thermostat cycles on at 3 o'clock in the morning.

Congrats on your p3at! I am also a small gun guy, went from a small but heavy Makarov (more or less a 380) to a small 380 and now have a micro 9mm (p938). Tried a few in between, but have never carried anything that did not fit in my pocket. The p3at is probably my favorite KT carry offering. The p-9 and p-11 fit in most men's pockets, if you ever want more firepower.

I have a P3AT that I carry occasionally in the Summer. I load it with Precision One's 95 gr HP/XTP's. This round has one of the best penetration and expansion capabilities of any .380 bullet. There is a great video on a .380 comparison test.
