I looked through alot of posts here and see a common problem is the mags are dropping out of their P3AT.

Well mine is sort of an opposite problem.  The mag seats fine and stays.  However, if the mag is empty it will not drop free.  It only pops down about 1/16" so it is hard to pull out.  This wouldnt be good if you need a quick reload.

My P32 drops free no problem.

Any ideas?
Is this a common problem?

Mine drop free, but one magazine is a little freer than the other. I found with more use, they both loosened up.

Field-strip the gun and disassemble the mag. Now you can look down in the mag well as you insert the open mag body.

Look for anything (plastic flash, tight areas etc.) that is gripping the mag. You can use an exacto knife to trim away any plastic that is in the way.

Another way is to wrap the mag in duct tape (Saran wrap first) and then heat the grip to expand it slightly.

This is risky because any heat around the grip tends to warp it so that the magazine falls out when you don't WANT it to.
