My wife and I been on the hunt for a sub2k for sometime now. Finally my local gun shop got one in and we jumped on it. Once we got it home we noticed a few things we definitely wanted to change.

First thing we notice was the flex in the trigger. While its not horrible its just doesn't feel right. Quick search and found the Mcarbo trigger and spring set. Definitely changes the feel making it more firm and positive feeling.

Then came the charging handle. The spring seems to be very stiff and the stubby charging handle makes it a bit difficult. We looked online and saw some great options, but didn't feel like it would work well for what we wanted. We wanted the charging handle angled out slightly to make it easier to rack while being on our shoulder. When we shoot we do fall to fire drills for fun using snap caps so we have to rack every other 1-3 rounds. Taking the gun of our shoulder every time was getting old quick. Here is what my local gun smith came up with.

Congrats! It is a great carbine to modify. Take a look at the Red Lion Precision Forend and Kel-tec brass charging bolt

We did it to see if it would even work, it was a one off type thing so I'm sure if you contact them they will be able to give you a better price. I'm sure he can make more if you are interested. The shop is Advanced Firearms Solutions in Sarasota, FL. They are on facebook and they respond quick on messenger.
We took it out shooting the other day and it was so much easier and quicker to cycle through without having to bring the gun off your shoulder.

I'm looking into the Red Lion Forend and looks pretty cool and could work with the red dot sight.
