:'( :'( OK... got a chance to pop off some for the first time. i have already done a fluff and buff. I had a mag of Gold dots, and they worked well with 1 FTF, easy to clear. I had a box of range rounds and started them.... bad news... I had like 4 FTEs out of my 6 round mag... whats worse... it kept doing it with every mag I loaded... what is the deal?! Please help!!

Bad ammo?  Part 115 missing?  Hard to say but I would start with checking the ejector and extractor, then try a different box of ammo.  I don't know what "range ammo" is :-/

Inexpensive stuff I would guess like PMC or WWB.

It wasn't reloaded ammo was it?

It should work without the ejector - at least mine did! I didn't even realize it was missing that session. It has for some other folks too.

I had a bad range experience this weekend myself. I tried running Rem UMC. I figured the more rounded nose would be better than the blunted WWB. Evidently I was wrong. I had FTFeed one right after the other after only 28 rounds (35 rounds total, first seven being the CorBon DPX's that I carry in it).

I think I'll try some CCI Blazer next. But I've still got a 50rd brick of the UMC :-( Fortunately my brother swears tha UMC runs like owl shite through his P3AT. Maybe he's got something worth trading for.

Point being, I'd try some different ammo.

part #115 is the ejector...the tiny part in the left frame rail that can and usually will fall out during disassembly and cleaning. Most people put a dab of grease on it to keep it in place.

well the ejector is still there... I am still a bit unsure what the issue is... I have had a p3at before, and it had a couple FTFs and FTEs.... but this was rediculous! The gun was only running at like 20% at best....I think tonight I am going to redo a F&B.... Take my time and really conentrate on it.... I really dont want to give up on this gun... I really like it.

One more thing... what it kinda seems to me maybe is that the slide is not going back as far as it needs to, to eject the spent casing, and bring in the new one... if this is the case... then it needs to be loosened up some way to let the slide fully go back and eject..... is this part of the F&B I may have missed???

PS Thanks for all the help!!

I would run a box of CCI Blazer aluminum thru it. My P3AT seems to like it, and it is relatively cheap.

I just did a Fluff and buff touch up... I cleaned and lubed it. I also inspected everything, and made sure all the parts were in and tight. It seems to be cycling better... I just need to go into the range and see.. I think I will get a veriety of ammo to see that maybe its just the ammo I used. If it doesnt work now... I have no idea what the problem is.

If it acts up with several types of ammo, I would send it back to Kel-tec.

What are you using for lube? I've found that even on my hard chrome model, it still likes to have grease and not just oil. I've used everything from militec-1 to rem oil to CLP along with a light film of gun grease along the rails, hammer interface, and barrel lug.

Here is a great resource for lubing the P3AT if you haven't seen it yet:

+1  on the grease , helped mine a lot.
I'd go 200 rounds (or more)before even thinking about sending it back, and clean and lube every 50 rounds max. These things are not range guns and there is a break in period . The F&B should help break in a long but ya need to get more rounds thru it too. Good luck

??? I thought you were going to give it a go.   30 rounds is far from the 50 - 100 round break in recommended by the factory ( I'd suggest 200 or more) good luck
