To know when your gun was made, which might tell you what gen it is, or even within a generation, if it has the "New part that started with this serial number", etc?

So if they changed the front sight to correct a flaw, how you can tell if yours shipped with that new style?

Stuff like that. Is there such a list for this gun?

Nope...nothing. At least not anything a gun dealer or manufacturer in Florida will give out to the public. If you were to call with a specific serial number they can tell you what updates it may have.

Dealers and manufacturers in Florida are limited by a set of laws that are supposed to keep "who owns what" out of the hands of law enforcement or other that may use that info against us. There can be NO "list" either electronically or written on paper....of who owns what firearm. At least not in this state.

Plus, Kel Tec is constantly upgrading and adjusting/changing parts as the guns are run....even while still on the line sometimes. It's sorta hard to keep up with.

Check this out......

No, I don't mean a list of serial numbers of who has what... But on a lot of gun models, including other KT guns, there are known "ranges"... Like if you have between this number and this number, you have the old part #... they started using the new one starting with XXYYZZ...

Things like that.

Pretty much only the factory can give you any info about "ranges"....even the ranges you read about in here are guesses at best.

KT just doesn't give out that much info.

I could be wrong...it's been known to happen. :p

Maybe someone else can help? Anyone?

No worries if there isn't any list, I just figured I would ask...

I know that with some other guns over the years, there were lists where you knew to try to not get certain serial number ranges because they were known to have a QC issue, or were still using the old part #, etc...
