This morning - Monday April 9 - I was unable to get on at all from 6am to 9am PST. Was this a problem with KTOGs servers or is it somehow on my end?

I have had this problem in the past first thing in the morning but not normally this long. I almost started withdrawals.

I had it too. Me thinks the Sub pron section used up all the bandwidth. ;D

I was on this AM from about 6:30 - 7:15 with no problems. Earlier, this past weekend (I forget when) there was an hour or so when the site was down, at least for me. Ray had told me that he was doing some stuff to the server that involved things other than KTOG, but would help make KTOG run faster. I don't know if there is any correlation to yours or my experience. :-/

Tx - I hear rare allusions to "Ray" every now and then and read about him as I skimmed the 'history of ktog' thread but don't know much about him.

    Does he post at all?

And more importantly, will he accept contributions to help the board and how do we contribute?

    -Scott

Edited to add - I guess my question was does he post under a different name than his few posts as Forum Admin, but then it occured to me that if he did he probably doesn't want us to know its him, so nevermind that part of the question.... DOH!

Ray posts very little and only as Forum Admin.
Regarding donations, I don't know. He's never asked for a dime from the membership here. He has some limited income from the banner ads but he obviously is not very concerned about making money from KTOG. This is not his real job. ;)

The change does seem to be working. I get the next screen up about twice as fast. Thanks, Ray! :D

The server crashed the other day for a couple of hours and
we were never able to figure out why. It seems to be running
fine since the reboot, though. I guess this server won't be
breaking the record held by my first server, which went 5 years
    without a reboot.

I don't post much because not long after I took over responsibility
for the board I lost my CHL, so my interest in KTs waned.
I'm counting down the days until I get it back, at which
time I'll be back at the range regularly and on here.

    [ul]Long Tagent[/ul]
I considered handing over all responsibility to a regular member,
but then when handling certain inter-personal conflicts on
the board I I wasn't too invloved with the board and so could
be impartial. It's good, I think, that the guy who ultimately
has the ability to ban people and such won't be seen as
    siding with his buddies.
Also I happen to own and administer a web server, so it's
easy for me to host the site and take care of the script that
runs the board. We did of course elect TxCajun as moderator,
and I think it's also good that having moderator powers he is
familiar with all of the personalities on the board.
It's a nice balance with things get out of hand - when we
discuss things he has the perspective of knowing the people
involved, but since at least one of the people involved are
probably his friends, my impartial viewpoint is good too.
Wow I went on and on about a tangent.

We took donations once a long time ago, but since then
we added the banners and that covers the costs involved.
I should probably throw TxCajun a few bucks out of that since he does all the work. :)
I guess if anyone really wants to contribute something
    besides posts
send TxCajun some ammo or something. :)

The few posts I make anymore are all under "Forum Admin"
just because it's easier to log in once, do any needed admin
tasks like helping someone with their password, then go
ahead and post without logging out and logging back in.

You did indeed, in a BIG way. 8)

I have a feeling, with this Postal Match, I am going to be earning it. Speaking of the Postal Match, RJ, you do realize that in the unlimited class, you can shoot from your recliner? ;D

If I shoot sitting with my hand resting on my walker would that be supported shooting? You know we have to do things according to the Americal with Civil Disablities Act. Not trying to be technical and all! ;D

If anything I will must offer to help out and score the targets with ya Tx. I have another doctor's appointment in 3 weeks and I will ask him then when would be a safe time period for me to shoot.

    Bad Link on 1 Page

Bad or outdated link found, if your on this page:

    http://www.ktog.org/visitkeltec.htm

And try to get to link on left for Bulletin Board, you get an error message. I did not test other pages for same error, just noticed this one.

Overall the site is great, love it!

Re: Bad Link on 1 Page

The problem may be on your end or more likely  was some temporary glitch as I find both links work perfectly.
    Thanks though.
