I wonder if this could be mounted on a Tavor TS12.

 

This only makes sense...... Kel-Tec is offering a KSG top rail for the KS7, so it would be natural to offer a KS7 carry handle for the KSG.
This allows the buyer to use the type of system he likes for either model.

 

The question is can I sell my KS7 top handle to a KSG owner, or did they make any changes to the design to make it KSG specific? I know the hole spacing is the same, so it should bolt right on.

 

If you go under KS7 it shows the same part # so I would assume yes but I don't feel comfortable saying so until I see someone actually do it. IIRC there were people talking about modding a KS7 carry handle to fit a KSG. Is this a new design that fits both or were they actually interchangeable from the start?

 

Happened to notice in an e-mail from KT this photo which appears to show the carry handle on a KSG25

 

Received the carry handle yesterday and installed it. Started to wonder how close close to zero it is since there appears to be no way to adjust it. Just checked with a 12ga laser bore sight and it appears to be dead on or at the very least close enough for a shotgun.

 

And it looks like it interferes with racking, the top rear of the forend where the rearmost screw is at is rubbing on the carryhandle where it forms an upside down U forward of the rear screw. Racking is quite stiff the last inch. Looks like some material needs to filed off but repeated racking, maybe, be rubbing enough off.

 

Just sent off an e-mail to KT informing them they need to give the forend a bit more clearance

 

Wow! They released something that wasn't thoroughly tested?

 

Had to put out the dremel. Had to remove enough materiel so that the top rear forend screw wouldn't hang on the carry handle. The problem is made worse by the fact the top forend screws stick out a little on the thread side which meant I had to remove enough material so that the part of the screw that sticks out can slide underneath the upside down U, or whatever it should be called, area.

 

Looking at photos of the KS7 it's forend is open at the top and it slides back on either side of the U forward of the rear screw of the carry handle. The KSG's forend is two pieces with screws joining the two halfs together at the top and the rearmost screw and it's plastic flar has to slide back inside of the U instead of outside of it like on the KS7. In my case there wasn't enough clearance for the screw and the flar. It could be a gen thing don't know. Waiting to hear back from KT. Either way mine works now thanks to a little dremel work.
