Nah.

You don't need a hammer to push that pin through. Just relieve the pressure a bit and push the pin through with your hand some until you can grab and pull it from the other side.

I drilled a number of holes in the front trim of my cleaning bench for a number of wood and brass "pegs" of various length (1" to 2") that allow me to insert the pin I need to be able to hold my firearm in both hands and gently press the firearm down onto the pin. This works especially well for removing the pin in the S2K for field stripping. Never had to use a hammer once I installed my pin holes.
