Here is a bummer. Just picked up my new P17. Brought her home, did the usual checks, flipped the safety from safe to fire and....it is stuck. Won't budge at all. Tried cocked, dry fired on a snap cap, with magazine, without magazine.....nothing. I am not talking tight or hard to move - more like not moving at all. Am I missing something? I am having high hopes for this gun to replace my P22 as a suppressor host but this is not exactly confidence inducing.

Thank you for you quick response and the in depth explanation. I will disassemble her in a few minutes and take a good look at it. Still torn between fixing it myself or sending her back for repair. The gun literally still has the yellow sticker on the trigger guard. Irony is, I found the problem 5 min after getting a warrant repair authorization for my Taurus PT22 poly - I guess it is just one of those days.....
