Hi all, Brand new Kel-Tec P-3AT owner here already in need of advice from you wiser ones. Short summary is: I bought my P-3AT a few hours ago, took it home, read the manual, then disassembled it to take a look at everything. After wiping some excess factory oil off various parts of the pistol (including several areas on and in the magazine) I tried to put the slide back onto the frame, and of course realized the pistol should have been in a semi-cocked position before I disassembled it. So...I went to manually pull the hammer back, but it slipped and went too far forward. I then carefully pulled it back from where it was into its semi-cocked position, put he slide back onto the frame, and inserted the pin. I racked it a few times, ran some snap caps through it, and was satisfied with its function UNTIL I pulled the trigger a few times with it in a totally non-cocked state. I'M HEARING A CLICK WHEN THE TRIGGER REACHES THE VERY REAR OF ITS AREA OF MOTION. Should it be doing this? Have I messed something up? I don't remember hearing this click while checking it out at the gun store. Can anyone pull the trigger on their P-3AT while it's in a totally non-cocked state and tell me if they hear anything? I'm a little frightened. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.
