While at the range today a buddy of mine noticed a loose screw on the magazine well. I screwed it back in but not very tight for fear of over tightening it. Does anyone have any info regarding how tight (torque) the screws should be?

I had the same issue today after less than 100 rounds. The screws don't seem to tighten no matter how much torque you use. Has anyone used loctite on these screws?

Loctite may be the way to go.

I believe the screw that you are referring to screws into a aluminum standoff which has another screw threaded into it on the opposite side of the rifle. This helps hold the two halves of the receiver together. In order to tighten the loose screw, you need two screw drivers. One for each side. You must tighten both screws together at the same time.
