Just got my Sub 2K Gen 2 today. I read a lot about the front sight issue. Is the one I got the newer front sight or the older problematic one?

How easy is it to remove the new front sight? I am considering getting the Red Lion forend and that requires removing the front sight.

IMO, the forend on the Gen2 is pretty good.
The Gen2 front sight offered by Red Lion Precision is excellent; I added it to my subbie
My S2K-G2 had the original sight which, after numerous repair efforts, was unsalvageable.
I've heard the redesigned sight is good, so you may consider shootin' yours for awhile to see if it's OK before replacing it. AoG

Is Keltec charging owners with the original Gen 2 sight full price for the revised sight? How much is it?

They didn't charge me. I had them swap it out at the factory.
