Appears the actual Sub2000 is the least expensive part of this!

A brake or compensator seems unnecessary in my experience but something to help curb the muzzle flash suppressor might be in order. 1/2 x 28 thread pitch. I'm not interested in making the folded length too much longer so something like that on the M4 Carbine would be nice.

My understanding is New Jersey legislators require a pinned and welded endcap.
Any specific suggestions to work with the RLP front sight?
Maybe your favorite three choices? Suitable for the dream build.

I used the KVP Linear Comp on my Gen 2

That brake is nice. And if you got in a SHTF trunk gun situation it would direct a lot of the concussion away from your ears.

MCarbo says they have a muzzle brake in production. ETA 3/15/18. Also hinged optic mount & trigger bar due out in April.
