Her name is kelly. Finally got her just how I want her. she sports a Holosun 403b elite greendot scope, complimented by a crimson trace railmaster green laser/light combo. Ive added a magpull vertical forgrip with just a tad bit of locktight on the bolt threads. Both plastic mag tube followers have been replaced with aluminum ones, along with the mag tub springs. I added the extended butt pad which was a easy swap and much appreciated by my right shoulder. I have a love hate relationship with the factory sling that she drapes off her bbw frame, but thats a story if its own and a bitter dose of my own karma for not buying the sling of a lifetime when i had the opportunity.i think the final-final upgrade will be the extended mag tube selector switch sure to be bought sometime this year.

Glad you like it! KSG is just a great gun once you get it running well - just a chamber polish really. All the rest is just shoes, purse and wig for Barbie as far as I'm concerned, except the sling, gotta have a good one. But, there are lots of folks who swear by all the accoutrements, appurtenances and other assorted brick-a-brack chattel added. To each their own! 👍

You've made yours your own, named it. No names for mine, but if I did, I'd probably call my KSG "Mudslide".

All that counts is that it meets your needs and if it's a true home defense gun, if it's set up for your specific living situation.
The trick is to add only what is really needed and not to go overboard with accessories that don't add to effective use.

I would recommend thinking hard about an extended magazine switch.
They stick out from the gun much more and are subject to getting broken off if the gun is bumped or the switch gets snagged on something.
The bolt that retains the switch is TINY and there's no good way to extract it if broken. That would require a trip back to Kel-Tec for them to extract it and replace it.

I found that I could just reach under the gun with my left hand and hook the stock switch and pull it over to the other side.
I didn't need an extended switch after doing some practice.
Plus, in a true defense gun you're unlikely to need more then the contents of one magazine.
This is why I switched to the KS7 for the lighter weight and much simpler magazine system.

Why not mount the light/laser on the side? I put a mini quick picatinny mount on from Hi Tec that bolts onto the sling mount was gunna put the lite/laser there. How do you operate it where it is? I'm about sold on Holosun. I installed a set of QD sling mounts from Hi tec the rear one was a bit of a pain as you have to disassemble the gun and kinda work it in. Went with the KTec extended butt pat too, but the little holding nuts fell out was pain to put them back. We seem to be about the same on improvements. Oh added the Hi tec lower rail too heard the KTec one can break off. Just ordered the VFG from Magpul also a front hand stop. Any thoughts on the barrel? Compensator?

I was going to ask why not mount it on the bottom in front of the vertical foregrip?
