Well I think I have made my final changes to my RFB. Pretty much like it now as you see it. I swapped out the bird cage flash hider for a Ferfrans muzzle brake and their BMD (blast mitigation device), added a kydex cheek rest, installed a Trijicon 4X ACOG as the main optic, and a Vortex Razor mini red dot with Vortex 45 degree mount for CQB work, & installed the 3" quad rail in case I want to use one of my tac lights. Now I have to decide on which sling I want to use.

And yes, that is a 40mm round propping up the front of my RFB. I have a registered Destructive Device I play with from time to time. Hmmmmmmm now how can I mount the 40mm to the RFB???

Looking nice, but I'm curious about what kind of recoil you get with BDM attached and 2nd have you experienced any problem with spent casings coming out of the ejection port with the rail extension at the end of the hand-guard?

Regards!

The rail is relieved on the top left side so spent casings dribble out the front the same as if it was not on there. Much less recoil and muzzle rise with the Ferfrans brake and no difference in recoil with the blast shield on or off the muzzle brake. The shield eliminates "all" side blast. I have used many muzzle devices (brakes, flash hiders, linear devices, etc.) on my rifles and the Ferfrans works the best for me. The only thing that would work better is an actual silencer (I have 3 of them but none in 30 cal.).
