I never thought I would need a pocket holster but in practice I ended up getting one to solve a couple minor issues I had with just throwing the pistol in my pocket. I picked up a $6.00 holster from Bud's and it works great. It helps with the issue of printing in some of my sweats made of thinner material, it keeps the pistol in the right position, and if I get absent minded and throw my keys in the same pocket I don't need to worry about catching something in the trigger. Granted these are all extremely minor "problems" that I've had carrying without a holster but it's cheap and light and adds a benefit for me. Just wondering what everyone else does. Holster or no?

Dear 9, I wouldn't call it minor if you throw your keys in your pocket and they get tangled up with the trigger and the gun goes off shooting you in the femerol artery. A pocket holster is part of safe gun handling. :)

I carry my P-32 in a pocket holster in my jacket or coat. Have an extra mag in a mag holder in the other pocket. Been doing this for a good while. Like the others here have said, the only proper way to pocket carry is with a holster that covers the trigger guard. You're doing it right. :rayof:

I use a BORAII for P32 pocket carry. Keep the pistol oriented property for a consistent draw. I made two slight modifications- used a Bic lighter too loosen the retention and exaggerated the hook for a positive catch in my pocket(s) e.g. Sweats, Suit jacket, jeans, Robe, and most front or back pocket. I just ordered a IWB Clinger atom for my wife's p32 I will let you guys know how she likes it after it comes in.

A pocket holster is a good idea. Also as you pointed out, you should never put anything else in that pocket.

Thing is, another more generalized gun board that I was on didn't really concur. I would say the opinion there was about 50/50 as to whether it was necessary. Argument by those that said no holster was that as long as it was alone in the pocket the trigger was essentially covered by your pocket. Kinda makes sense but like I said, it wasn't true for me. Glad to see that in the land of real pocket pistols there is more of a consensus for my conclusion.

I vote holster. Keeps the gun properly oriented and the trigger covered. A good one adds negligible bulk or weight.
