Just want to check-in 1st time and say thanks for the helpful info on this forum.

Have a new P3-AT and am still breaking it in, have +200 rounds so far:

Corbon BeeLine, 8 rounds and no FTF
Rem GS 14 rounds 1 FTF
Rem UMC FMJ 95 gr, 50 with 3 FTF
Speer FMJ 95 gr,  150 with 12 FTF from one box of 50

Seems the cheaper the ammo, the more FTFs.

Have cleaned it three times now, polished the feed ramp best I can, taken off a burr or two.

Love the little gun, but want it to be 100 %.  I'm not sending it to KT, unless something really breaks.

Tried a gold marker on the front sight but will probably use something else on the front sight long term.

Need to find a fix for the trigger pinch, got a blister last time out.

Have learned to pull through on the DA trigger, unlike a 1911 SA trigger.

Yes, welcome to the Group. Don`t worry too much about the sights on your P-3, Its mostly a point and shoot pistol. Spend some time looking around on all the post and threads, ask questions, and all your dreams will come true... I mean all your questions will be answered by some fine folks. :)

Welcome, lots of great info to be had here. But be careful...my wife calls KTOG my mistress. I should have learned by now that sitting in my recliner with the laptop while she is on the couch isn't her idea of quality time.

  8. Welcome to KTOG iB4SS.

Clean, lube, SHOOT repeat, clean, lube, SHOOT repeat!  That will probably take care of the fail to feed issues.

You can cut and shape the trigger to make it smaller if you have big fingers.  Sanding the rough spots off of the trigger and inside the guard area can also help soften it up.

EDIT: JFB...  I actually do shoot it from time to time, but just clean, lube , repeat can be fun! ;)

re the sights, I paid 10 bucks for a set of the Nightsiters dots (see the classifieds subforum) and I have to say I like them a lot so far. Not so much for their glowing capacity (although when "charged" they do work well) but more because the way it is set up (single dot on rear sight, single dot on front sight) it aligns a lot more easily, just put one dot on top of the other and there you go!

I also tried using the fluorescent model paint as others have done, and that worked well, but the simplified version of the two dots has been the best change to the sights I've done.

    Oh, and welcome sir!

Thanks all, and every bit of advice is welcome & considered...(even the promo pic)

I just removed the gold paint and put some florescent light green on the
front sight.  Ground a small hollow with a dremmel to get down to clean metal.

So what does one MEASURE on a P3AT ??    (Here goes the jokes !)
Anyway, I already have more Rem UMC FMJ to continue the break-in and
have been careful about cleaning, oiling and greasing after each session.

    Thanks again..
