Don't bead blast it, use #40 aluminum oxide, bead blasting will leave a "Polished" finish that this stuff will not adhere properly. All of the bake-on finishes do much better with a surface that has a "tooth" for it to flow and adhere to. Been there, done that, sandblasted it properly and did it again... BTW: All of this stuff is a very good durable rustproof finish if properly applied. To get a good bond, the slide needs to be hand sanded or bead-blasted first.
You can even do a great job yourself with just a little handwork and an oven.
