I was cleaning my P-3AT and inadvertenly knocked out my hammer-spring pin. Well, I'm on my 2 nd day to try and get it re-installed in the grip to no avail. I know the hammer has to have the round end facing forward on the right side of the grip but getting the spring inserted has me stummped. There has to be a trick to this thing that makes it very easy but I haven't figured it out yet.

Can anybody bail me out, or do I have to buy a new grip with hammer installed?

You're right Tx-I meant the hammer block and spring # 272 and 273.
My problem seem to be getting the spring in. The web sites directions were a little fuzzy on this point.
The hammer block was the easy part now if I can get that spring to stay in the hammer block while I'm pushing in the pin, I'd have it made. But it keeps falling out.
