Hammer Block Safety?

    at what stage of production of the P3AT did KT start installing the hammer block safety? Also, the idea of the light weight firing pin?

    the hammer block precedes the p3at as it was part of the original p32 design (but they improved it a few years back)

    thanks.... that was what I was thinking. What was the deal with the redesign?

    with the original hammer block it was possible to short stroke the gun, resulting in a light strike and a gun that had to be racked before it could be fired again. drop safety wise i believe the original p3at hammer block was perfectly good.
