Hello everyone. I'm a new gen 2 Sub2k owner. My first keltec in about five years. I had always wanted one but decided to wait until the gen 2s and I'm glad I did, very happy. Although it's no CZ Scorpion, for the price and purpose, you can't beat it.

I originally wanted a magnifier style flip to side mount but after reading the board about not keeping a zero, I decided against it. So most 45 degree mounts are still tall over the rail and won't let the rifle fully fold up. It was difficult to find what I invasion ed for a reasonable price. (Unfortunately price has to be factor as I have limited gun funds).
So this is the Green Blob tactical extremely low profile offset mount. It uses two very small set screws to keep it tight. I agree with one amazon reviewer that they should be longer. I just received it today and this is a mockup. I still haven't decided on which Red dot yet. The Barska was a (free) spare I already had.

I am sharing this now before it's complete just in case someone else has been looking for something similar.
I am also LEFT HANDED so yes I know the red dot is on the "wrong" side.

Thanks for the great pics BH74D. Quite a few of us are happy with the Burris TRS-25 red dot. It is very compact and at a price point that won't break the bank (approx. $90.00) on Amazon. I like it because the battery lasts a long time and works well on my subbie with a 45 degree offset mount. Check out the threads in this forum for pictures. Have fun with your Gen 2 Sub2K.:)

Wow - not sure why this didn't get more response. This is exactly what I was looking for. I've tried the mount on the side using the M-Lok slots but had issues holding zero.
I'd much rather try a mount on the top rail AND be able to fold the gun.

Just ordered me one of these and will report back.

OP, if you see this, how has the mount been?

Are you left handed? Wondering why you mounted it to the left side?

Normally we'd mount it on the right side for a right hander so that when you rotated the gun to the sight it would go into you as opposed to away from you. It is also more natural to have your firing hand up than wrapped underneath the gun. Much harder to get at the safety as well.

Unless you're a lefty.

I have the holosun 403 red dot on my ar and I'm thinking about turning that into more of precision rifle with a 1-6x now that I found a gen 2 sub in stock and took advantage of it. I waited three years and saw it in 9mm so snagged it right away. Anyways I'm on the fence about putting it on the side of the sub since the whole appeal is the small stature of the sub. I'm looking at the Burris fast fire small red dot (hope that link works I'm typing this on iPhone) but wonder if the buttons will clear on the left side when it's folded. Does anyone see any other issues? Comments on putting the holosun on it vs the smaller Burris? I know I want to use the green blob mount

Edit: another option would be the Vortex seen here https://www.midwayusa.com/product/3...sight-1x-3-moa-dot-with-picatinny-mount-matte

I also got the Green Blob mount and am planning on using it with the Bushnell TRS 25 along with a small riser.
I got a UTG riser off Amazon ( http://amzn.to/2eMM5Kx )
and it's rubbing against the stock (buffer assembly) when folded. I'm in the process of filing it down now in the hopes that I can make it fit.
Which riser did you use in your setup and does it rub at all when folding?

I used the Magpul MLok 45-degree offset with a shim when fabricating the initial RD mount. Shim was necessary for clearance to fold the Gen 2.

I'm not familiar with the Green Blob offset mount, but I think a 1" riser would be needed, as I used one for my final set-up.
