I've got a problem with my P-11. I field stripped it like I have a hundred times. But when I put it back together (again like the hundred times before) the slide will not close all the way. The takedown pin is all the way in so it's not stoppiing it. I swear I have no idea what is causing this problem. Anyone ever have a similar problem or have some idea what's going on? More importantly, anyone got a fix for it without having to send it in or take it to a gunsmith? Going to the range tomorrow and kind of wanted to take it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Fly , you should find what you need here on this link:

More than likely the pin is not in the hole on the barrel but behind it, causing it to not close.
I hope this helps.
OR:
Added: your slide stop is working as it should.
Just depress it down or pull back on the slide with no mag in the gun and let it come forward on its own.

Thanks for the reply. I did get it solved. I just had to help the barrel get a little bit further forward.
