A while back Swatz posted some pics of his gun with a front sight he glued on. (back a few pages)
I found the same Hi-vis sight at walmart for $4.00.

Am looking for any info on what glue or epoxy would work best for gluing the sight on.
    Already tried crazy glue...didn't hold.

Swatz posted that he used Permatex ultra black hi-temp RTV silicone gasket maker.

Any suggestions about what works and what doesn't.

yep that's what I used...and it's still on ;) seems like it has some elasticity to it, it's a silicone so that makes sense...seems to give a little. so far so good...

Just went and checked frt sight....
The crazy glue seems to have taken hold.

A few minutes after glueing....the sight seems to wiggle.

I just figured that it didn't stick and threw it back in the case.

Just checked it again after 4 hrs. and its stuck tight.
Gave it some good tugs and it wont let go.
Just not sure if that glue holds up to chemicals and lubricants.

I'll keep the other stuff in mind in case crazy glue lets go.

Shooting some rounds will be the real test. That slide takes a wacking on every shot.

I tried two or three dif. adhesives. The only one that held was ( the Right Stuff Gasket Maker ) from the auto store. Bad thing about it is that my store did not have a small amount for sale. I had to buy the 4 oz. can and it was between $9.00 and $12.00 for the can. Beleive me, it holds when cured. Tom :)
