I started another thread wherein I discussed that my accuracy problems were resolved by adjusting my cheek weld.

Another poster recommended that I check the tightness of the shoulder bolt.

I was able to tighten it several turns until it essentially bottomed out.

At that point, the windage was dialed completely left on the side of the sight and the windage knob no longer clicked when I try to center the post. I was also unable to move the post.

Loosening the shoulder bolt eventually caused the post to click back into position and the windage knob works again.

I understand that these screws work loose over time which causes accuracy issues.

But for reference, can someone please explain what one is looking for when checking the torque for this bolt?
