Wow, what a huge difference a couple of mods make! I have a Beretta mag 9mm Sub2K Gen 2 and liked it except for the low and awkward (to me) sight picture/cheek weld. I recently purchased added the following:
-Bushnell TRS-25 red dot scope
-Leapers UTG 1" riser
-MagPul AFG2 foregrip
-Tacticool rubber buffer tube cover
-Mcarbo double charging handle

The red dot scope sits much higher up and lets me get a good sight picture without cramming my neck and face down so low. I can't use the iron sights anymore but it's not a huge issue to me, I can see the top half of the front sight through the scope but I ignored it. The Bushnell needed a couple clicks of adjustment but I soon was dead on at 25 yards, the maximum I can shoot at the indoor range I used. The bolt tube cover made for a more comfortable cheek weld and the double charging handle was AWESOME. Kel-Tec should just include this as standard IMO.

I'm now VERY happy with this setup and have a sling from KT to add (the Sub Sling) and I'm also considering a light/laser for the future. Overall I spent around $175 to really kick this cool little carbine a couple notches UP!

I just realized that the riser has what's considered a quick-release design so in an emergency I can pull that scope off in about 3 seconds and go back to iron sights if need be.

I am also a big fan of putting the RDS up high on a riser, mine is at the point where I can also utilize the iron sights without removing the RDS or riser.

If you want to get rid of that front sight, it's easy to do. Lot's of people on this forum have posted cool pics of mods to cover the threads on the end of the barrel with various muzzle breaks, flash hiders and shrouds. I went with a custom made barrel shroud from E&L Manufacturing. $58 total, delivered in 5 days. Love it.

Hey! I also bought the MI mount: could not zero either of two red dot sights. Really a shame as it was an elegant solution to the problem of not being able to fold the gun with a sight on it. Next problem: the picatinny rail on the top of the weapon is not flat; it is quite curved, with the height of the curve preventing any sight to fit flat enough to engage both sides of the clamping mechanism. So far: can't use the iron sights as they are too low for my fat head; can't fit a red dot sight on the poorly made
Picatinny rail on top. I will attempt to file the top rail flat and lower. A real shame Kel-Tec can't do better. If only the MI mount worked! I tried to tighten the screw to put more pressure on the spring (on the MI) but stopped trying when the force exceeded common sense. Guess I'll just put it in the safe and hope Kel-Tec (or someone) comes up with a solution.

I had the same problem until I filed the peak down. Stays zeroed now.

Do you have a sleeve around the bottom of your magazine? Looks like a better transition than with the 33 round Glock magazine. See pic.

Your Sub 2k looks awesome! I'm gonna get the muzzle brake right now! Thanks for the post, I've been looking for something for mine since before I actually bought it lol
