I had an opportunity to play with a Salvo suppressor on my KSG and took some video back to back with and without the Salvo. There's text at the end of the video where I discuss my experience, but basically here are my thoughts.
It is difficult in the video to hear the difference between with and without, but it is a bigger difference to the shooter's ear than in the video. It doesn't make it quiet, but it does soften it a fair amount. It is probably right on the edge of hearing safe, but I did shoot some without ear pro and it didn't bother me at all. It also softens the kick of the gun itself. A bit less muzzle rise and makes it more of a push and a softer push.
I'm going to get to play with the Salvo some more soon. Next time out I will do some pattern testing of various loads with and without to see how the Salvo affects it.
