The owners manual says not to loosen or remove that screw...so Kel Tec doesn't even show in the pics how it's assembled. I think it's a deep dark hidden secret...I have no idea what's inside, much less how to put it back together.
The exploded view of the Sub 2000 on Kel-Tec's site kind of shows the relationship of the parts, which might help with spring orientation. It's worth downloading the drawing since you can pick up way more detail by zooming in, its hard to see the small parts in the manual's exploded view:
I'll try. Here's a pic of the OEM pivot block (upper) along with an after-market replacement.
The longer spring leg bears against the sight housing and the short leg against the pivot block. The orientation in the pic is how it was positioned when I disassembled mine.
Thanks everyone. I got it back together and it is working. I dont think it is the same as artofgolf described. Right or wrong I am not taking it apart again.
